Congratulations to Successful Attorneys

Just a few months in the past, I began congratulating successful legal professionals in lots of the circumstances I be aware. I do not do that as a result of I essentially agree with the legal professionals; I do it as a result of I need to tip my hat to fellow professionals who’ve efficiently served their shoppers.

Perhaps they served the better good or enchancment of the legislation as I see it, and possibly they did not. However their job is not to serve humanity or America or justice writ massive; it is to serve their shoppers, they usually succeeded at their job.

I particularly really feel that as a result of my job is to show legislation college students, and to show legislation college students to do a great job for his or her shoppers; if some legislation college students learn these circumstances and see me congratulating folks with whose positions the scholars suspect I disagree, all the higher. And to the extent it is nice for folks to see their names in e-print, nicely, I am glad to provide them such pleasure, which I feel they’ve earned via their efforts (once more, no matter whether or not I agree with them).

Now typically I will not congratulate the successful legal professionals, as an illustration as a result of I haven’t got the time to search for the small print, or as a result of I overlook, or as a result of the result’s advanced sufficient that I am unsure it is fairly a victory. And maybe there may be a place that is so remarkably odious that I can not deliver myself to congratulate somebody who efficiently litigated it (although I do not recall this ever occurring since I began the observe I am discussing right here). However my common plan right here is to acknowledge the skilled successes of my fellow legal professionals no matter my views on their place.
